Nottingham Model Railway Society
|
The website of both the NOTTINGHAM MODEL RAILWAY SOCIETY and also the NOTTINGHAM East Midlands MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION.
Here you will find information and items of interest relating to our society, our annual exhibition and to railway modelling in general.
The Society has layouts in 4mm scale, both 00 (16.5mm gauge) and EM (18.2mm gauge) and in 7mm (0 gauge). Our individual members also model in 4mm scale (p4 18.83mm gauge) and in 3mm:1ft (HO gauge). Our interest cover all British railways from the late 19th century to the present day. Members also model the North American and europen scenes. One of our specialties is the construction of accurate, working overhead and third-rail electrification systems.
We have our own clubrooms, in Mapperley, Nottingham, a couple of miles to the north east of the city centre. At the clubrooms there are layout building facilities and an extensive reference library. We are the organisers of the famous NOTTINGHAM East Midlands MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION, now staged over the third weekend each March.
