The Thames Valley Scale Model Club

Buckinghamshire Scale Model Club in Marlow.

The Thames Valley Scale Model Club celebrate their 45th anniversary in 2020.  They meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm at their Clubhouse in Liston Hall, Liston Road, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, SL7 1DD.  Evening parking is available free of charge behind the former Marlow Waitrose.

The monthly meetings comprise a chat with fellow modellers to swap ideas, share new modelling techniques and the display of latest creations including:

  • Plastic model kits (Airfix, Revell, Tamiya etc)
  • Resin models
  • Vac formed or mixed media kits
  • Scratch built models

Free tea and coffee are available.

They make and display scale models of:

  • Aircraft
  • Ships
  • Military Vehicles
  • Figures and many other subjects

The Club arrange friendly monthly competitions, judged by all Members.  The competitions are divided into various classes depending upon the age of the modeller and size and type of model and lead to an annual competition in November, with trophies and certificates being awarded at the Christmas Social Meeting in December.

Annual membership is just £20 for age 17 and over with under 17s being free.  New Members are always made welcome and the first meeting is free.
