Herefordshire Model Engineering Club in Hereford.
The Hereford Society of Model Engineers are a group of enthusiasts established in 1962 who regularly meet to share skills and model engineering projects.
Interests within the club vary from small scale model railways, boats, traction engines and ride on railways, amongst others.
Originally just 6 members the are now approximately 100 members modelling all types of engineering, including traction engines, clocks, stationary and hot air engines, as well as steam and electric locomotives.
New Members are welcome.
In addition childrens` parties can be arranged for a Sunday when the club is open to the public. Subject to suitable notice, a special birthday headboard on one of our trains showing a child`s name can be provided.
The club also organises regular training sessions for young engineers recognised by the 7¼ Society at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. The young engineers are always proud to receive their certificates.
