Hertfordshire Model Railway Club in Hemel Hempstead
The Hemel Hempstead Model Railway Society design, build and operate N and OO gauge model railways from the steam era to modern times.
Members meet every Tuesday evening betwen 8pm and 10pm at their Clubroom at the Nash Mills Recreation Centre, Hemel Hempstead.
The Club have various layouts, including the Bruscon Bridges, their N gauge railway unveiled at The Stowmarket Model Railway Exhibition in 2012.
Stanegate is a 4mm 0 gauge layout featuring a double track layout on the outskirts of a city.
Leaford St George is a 4mm layout currently under construction.
The Club arrange regular outings which have included visits to the Severn Valley Railway and the Watercress Line, amongst others.
They are also proud to support the Nickey Line, their very own local branch line. This ran from Hemel Hempstead to Harpenden but was closed in June 1947 to passenger traffic.
