The Huncote Vipers Model Car Club

Leicestershire Model Car Club in Huncote near Narborough

Formed by David Quemby, Charles and Paul Dunkley, Rob Norwell and Colin Watts with the aim of promoting the sport of radio control model car racing, the Huncote Vipers Model Car Club held its first meeting in March, 1990 at the Huncote Community Primate School. The club is affiliated to the British Radio Car Association which is the governing body of the sport in this country.
Meetings are held on a Tuesday evening between 7pm and 10pm and new members are always welcome.

Members are of varying age and the Club provides a safe environment for young people to race their cars and also learn how to tune and maintain them.  All Members must, however, join BRCA for insurance purposes.

Once a month, the circuit is altered, thereby allowing drivers to test different car set ups. Racing is carried out using 1/10 or 1/12 scale electric buggies and saloon cars on a carpet based track. Race fees are £7 per night for Members and £8 for non members. New Members are allowed 2 free nights plus one other before having to join. Club Membership is £12 per annum.
